Initial Setup & First Boot

Connect to TV

Plug the included HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the ColaBox L2 Plus and into an available HDMI port on your TV.

Power On

Connect the USB-C power cable to the device and plug the adapter into a wall outlet. The LED indicator will turn on.

Select TV Input

Switch your TV to the correct HDMI input (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2). The ColaBox boot screen will appear within 30 seconds.

Pair the Remote

Hold the Home and Back buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Follow the on-screen prompt.

Select Language & Region

Choose your preferred language and region. This affects system UI, time zone, and content recommendations.

Connect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet

Select your network and enter the password. For the most stable 4K streaming experience, use a wired Ethernet connection.

Sign In to Google Account

💡 Tip: The remote supports HDMI-CEC. Enable CEC on your TV to control TV power and volume with the ColaBox remote — no need to juggle two remotes.

Network & Wi-Fi Connection

📶 Wi-Fi Setup

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi. Select your network, enter the password, and connect. Use the 5GHz band for faster, more stable streaming.

🔌 Wired Ethernet Recommended

Plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port on the device. It connects automatically — no additional setup required.

⚠️ Note: For 4K HDR streaming, a minimum of 25 Mbps download speed is recommended. Switching from Wi-Fi to Ethernet typically resolves buffering.

Installing & Managing Apps

The ColaBox L2 Plus runs Android 14 with full access to the Google Play Store. All major streaming apps come pre-installed out of the box.

📦 Google Play Store

Open the Google Play Store from the home screen.
Search for the app (e.g., Netflix, Disney+, Plex).
Select Install and wait for download to complete.

🔧 Sideload APKs (Advanced)

Enable Unknown Sources in Settings → Security.
Transfer the APK via USB drive or download via browser.
Use a file manager to locate and install the APK.

Display & Picture Settings

Navigate to Settings → Display & Sound → Picture to configure:

Storage & Memory Management

💾 Internal Storage

The device has 64GB internal storage — one of the largest in its class. View usage at Settings → Device Preferences → Storage.

🔌 Expand via USB

Connect a USB drive via the USB Type-C port for additional media storage.

⚠️ Warning: If formatting a USB drive as internal storage, all data on that drive will be erased. Back up files first.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

FAQNo signal on TV

Make sure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input. Try a different HDMI cable or port. Confirm the LED on the device is lit.

FAQRemote not responding

Re-pair the remote: hold Home + Back for 3 seconds. Replace batteries if the remote LED does not flash when pressing buttons.

FAQWi-Fi keeps dropping

Switch to the 5GHz band or use a wired Ethernet connection. Move your router closer if signal is weak.

FAQApp crashes or freezes

Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Clear Cache. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.

FAQVideo is not playing in 4K

Check that your TV supports 4K output, the HDMI cable is HDMI 2.0 or higher, and your streaming subscription includes 4K content.

FAQHow do I factory reset?

Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Reset → Factory Reset. This erases all data and restores factory defaults. Use only as a last resort.
