4. Initial Setup & First Boot

Connect to TVPlug the HDMI cable into the HDMI 2.1 port on the ColaBox L2 Plus and into an available HDMI port on your TV.

Power OnConnect the USB-C power cable to the device and plug the adapter into a wall outlet. The LED indicator will turn on.

Select TV InputSwitch your TV to the correct HDMI input. The ColaBox boot screen will appear within 30 seconds.

Pair the RemoteHold the Home and Back buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Follow the on-screen prompt.

Select Language & RegionChoose your preferred language and region. This affects system UI, time zone, and content recommendations.

6. Network & Wi-Fi Connection

Wi-Fi Setup

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi. Select your network, enter the password, and connect. Wi-Fi 6 networks provide the lowest latency for 4K streaming.

Wired Ethernet (Recommended)

Plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port. The device will automatically detect and configure the connection — no additional setup required.

āš ļø Note: For 4K HDR streaming at 60fps or higher, a minimum of 25 Mbps download speed is recommended.

7. Installing & Managing Apps

The ColaBox L2 Plus runs Android TV 14 with full access to the Google Play Store.

Install Apps

  1. Open the Google Play Store from the home screen.
  2. Search for the app (e.g., Netflix, Disney+, Plex, Kodi).
  3. Select Install and wait for the download to complete.

Sideload APKs

  1. Enable Unknown Sources in Settings → Security.
  2. Transfer the APK via USB drive or download via browser.
  3. Use a file manager app to locate and install the APK.

Internal Storage

11. FAQ & Troubleshooting

No signal on TV

Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input. Try a different HDMI cable or port. Confirm the device LED is lit (powered on).

Remote not responding

Re-pair the remote: hold Home + Back for 3 seconds. Replace batteries if the LED on the remote does not flash.

Wi-Fi drops frequently

Move the router closer, switch to the 5GHz band, or use a wired Ethernet connection for stability.

App crashes or freezes

Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Clear Cache. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.

4K content not playing in 4K

Ensure your TV supports 4K, the HDMI cable is HDMI 2.0 or higher, and the streaming service subscription includes 4K content.

Factory Reset

Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Reset → Factory Reset. This will erase all data and restore the device to factory defaults.
